affinity water memory sticksWhen the National Careers Service put a request in our December Opportunities list for 30 memory sticks for their clients to use Affinity Water immediately stepped up. The National Careers Service often word process CVs and covering letters  for their clients and they then need somewhere to store them electronically as they don’t always have their own computers. £10 for a memory stick is a lot when you only get £70 per week Jobseekers allowance.

Here is Jai Restall from Affinity Water handing over the memory sticks to Clare Bentall of the National Careers Service.

MangCreativeLocal web design firm, Mang Creative, know how important a well-constructed and marketed website can be to a charity and they are kindly offering to develop a charity’s existing website or start a website from scratch – for free.

This is a fantastic offer and it’s not a just one-off.  They want to do this every six months. So if you are interested now, or for the future, do get in touch.

laptopWhen RES in Kings Langley came to us with a large donation of DELL laptops, notebooks and desktops we had no problem in finding good homes for them all.

They were eagerly snapped up by Dacorum Heritage Trust, Princes Trust, Swan Youth Centre, Herts Scouts, Road Victims Trust, U3A Dacorum, Dacorum Mencap, Bennetts End Community Centre, Warners End Community Centre, Homestart, Demand, Dacorum Citizens Advice Bureau, and Woodfield School.

So a huge Thank You to RES for their kind donation.

portFor several years now Storax Racking Supplies kindly donate bottles of port to Connect Dacorum to share out to local charities.

This year, when the Any Use? email was sent out to the charities, all 6 bottles were snapped up within 7 minutes.  Must be a record!!

The local charities who have benefited are:  DENS, Cavendish School, Sunnyside Rural Trust, Hemel Hempstead Rotary Club, Rennie Grove Hospice and the Hospice of St Francis who are all running raffles or events in the run up to Christmas.

Many thanks again to Storax for their very generous donation.

When Dacorum Heritage Trust came to us with a dilema of moving some furniture, Furnell Transport stepped up to the mark.  Pam Gaskin from Dacorum Heritage Trust was delighted with the help.Furnell Transport Lorry3
